1. Local Processing

Videos you upload are processed locally in your browser. Subtitle editing, previewing, and rendering all happen on your own device.

If you close AutoSubtitles without exporting your work, any unsaved progress will be lost.

2. Transcription Services (Third Parties)

When using AI transcription, your video's audio track and limited metadata (such as duration, language, and filename) may be securely sent to third-party transcription providers to generate subtitles.

These providers process the data only for transcription purposes and do not store it permanently. Data is deleted automatically after processing, typically within minutes.

Your full video is not stored by AutoSubtitles.

3. Payments (Stripe)

Payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your payment details.

When making a purchase, Stripe may collect information such as:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Billing details
  • Payment method information

4. Cookies and Local Storage

AutoSubtitles uses cookies and local storage to remember preferences (such as language, theme, and editing settings).

We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to:

6. No Accounts Required

AutoSubtitles does not require account creation to use core features.

  • Transcription data is temporary and automatically deleted
  • You can clear cookies and local data at any time
  • You can opt out of ads or analytics via Google's tools
